The moon has fascinating effects on our planet. It impacts our time, tides, light, nature and the living creatures that inhabit our environment. It is a prominent time to acknowledge this new full moon as we enter into Autumn and the environmental changes. The leaves and plants begin to shed and lay to rest to the ground for the next seasons’ nourishment. The wildlife begin to retreat, preparing for winter hibernation and the landscape becomes bare, the days get shorter and the weather becomes cooler. The energy through Autumn is moving inwards and downwards. It is the governor of time organisation and ordering. Metal (the element of autumn) signifies the resting of this season to the earth, which feeds the minerals in our land.
Reflecting this in our own lives, it is a time to start letting go, slowing down and reflecting in the stillness of our homes. Limiting social company to that of those that enrich your life and beginning to let go of those things that no longer serve a place in your life. The moon cansometimese be the initiation of becoming receptive to new insights. A time to be still under the moon and reflect on the intentions of moving forward.
And of course, being in awe of the absolute beauty of our solar system and the power it holds. Hold space for acknowledging these transitional times. Under the starts, under the sun or in deep mediation and prayer. Let your spirit guide you.
